おかしなタコちゃん“ラリーとおはん”のドタバタストーリーの合間に
被災地の現在の様子が時々挿入されます。
タコちゃんワールドを共有できると嬉しいです。

This blog aims to document in a special way the so-called
Takochan project.
Two very speciall Takochans , Larry and Ohan– who seem
sometimes pretty human, at other times rather peculiar,
tell their stories interspersed with real information from
the disaster site.

小原木タコちゃん。それは気仙沼市小原木中学校避難所で生まれました。
3月11日の震災・津波の被災者が絶望感を忘れるためにタコちゃんの
人形を作り始めたのが始まりです。
タコちゃんにはタコママからのメッセージカードが添えられています。

People in Kesennuma Koharagai Junior High school shelter
suffering from the March 11 earthquake and tsunamistarted to
make these unique octopus dolls first in order to overcome
the nagging feeling of hopelessness and despair.
Each Takochan carries a hand-written message from his/her
mother which reflects their emotions.

避難所生活の頃は全国の皆様からご支援いただき誠にありがとう
ございました。
仮設住宅の生活が始まった今、一方通行でご支援を頂くだけではなく、
自分たちの作品＝タコちゃんを全国の皆さんの養子に出し、
“元気な被災者の活動”
を皆さんにご報告することが、ご支援いただいた皆様への一番の恩返し
であると考えます。

The Takochans are a way of saying ‘thank you’! to all the
people who helped and are still helping to overcome the
hardships and a proof that the people in Koharagi are actively
striving for a fast recovery. To have the Takochans
spread all over Japan (and elsewhere?) and let everyone take
part in this recovery process is a main aim of this project.

タコちゃんプロジェクトにご賛同いただける方、是非タコちゃんを養子に
迎えてタコワールドに参加しましょう。
タコちゃんを養子に迎えたら、ご家庭で遊ぶタコちゃんの様子を是非下記

ブログで紹介してタコ友ワールドを広げていきたいと思います。

「養子」や「嫁入り」と表現させて頂きます。

How to adopt a Takochan:
The Takochans cannot be ‘bought’ in the traditional sense,
since they have crossed the border of being just ‘things’.
The commission for adopting a standard sized Takochan (head
diameter 3-5 cm) is 1000 yen.
This fee goes directly and 100% to the Tako mothers!It might
bring the dream of permanent housing nearer and faster....
The places where you can meet and adopt Takochans are indicated
on the right hand side of the blog, or through Tako mail.
In the near future adoption through Internet will be possible too.
A standard size Takochan can easily be attached to a bag or
furniture.
